Julia Colwell, Ph.D. Dr. Colwell has spent over two decades and thousands of hours with individuals, couples, and groups, exploring the world of relationships. The only relationship book you need

What if you had a proven method for moving through stuck places in your life? What if you could learn to get unstuck and have fun doing it? What if you could apply this method to all of your relationships? You can, and Julia Colwell tells you how to do it. I've read this book more times than I can count (I'm Julie's editor), and I've been applying these techniques to my life, practicing with friends and family. This stuff works!

Here's what Julia's book does that most self-help books don't do: She gives you an effective way to practice what she teaches, and she makes it fun. In a time when more than 50% of marriages in this country fail, Julie offers another way to view the rough times so that any two people who are willing to play with new ideas can sustain and deepen that feeling-in-love feeling that brought them together in the first place. This is not hyperbole.

The Relationship Ride combines concepts with research, offers exercises and overviews and maps that take the reader into new territory: the core of the essential self. Julia Colwell does this work in her own relationship and has been teaching others how to do it for 20 years or more. The world is a better place for it.

The Relationship Ride

In the Relationship Ride, Dr. Julie Colwell very creatively uses nautical terms and images to portray the nuances of relationships. As Dr. Colwell puts it, the Relationship Ride is "not a guage for how long to stay in a relationship or how to know when to say enough is enough" but a tool to keep our attention on what is more "useful, precious and fun" in the relationship. Colwell's premise is that our attention should not be on what is right or wrong with the other, as if we are "starring at the bottom of the boat to detect any possible leaks." We are not to decide exactly when to abandon ship, but rather we become "present with the glorious feeling of sailing the open sea."

As Colwell puts it, you and your partner "set sail into the wide ocean blue, and rather than being at the mercy of the wind or drowning waves, you are given the tools and supplies for a voyage of great adventure with "maps and a compass." Dr. Colwell's images and tools are a most creative way to engage the reader in a real life experience of a ride that has excitement and adventure. Rather than be the mercy of your relationship issues you are the captain of the great ride.

Outstanding book!

This is an excellent book for people who don't live in solitary confinement. If you interact with others, this is a must read. Dr. Colwell provides sensible interpretations of how people relate to their own inner selves and to others.

Also, the books (I ordered extras to share) arrived exceptionally quickly, several days before I expected them using Amazon's free shipping option.

The most enthralling book I've read in a long time

t's been quite a while since I've read any adult fiction books. Especially mystery/thriller books. And frankly, my desire to read that specific genre has significantly diminished for some reason. It's not that I'm indifferent towards it because I actually really enjoy it. It's just that I've kind of forgotten about it, I guess.

Upon reading the synopsis for The Botanist, my first thoughts were something along the lines of "This sounds so creepy. I like it.". So I decided to give it a shot. I was so pleasantly surprised by this book. And I know I say this often, but it is not meant to be taken lightly. I basically loved this book.

The level of enthrallment that that first chapter held is honestly beyond me. The weird and eerie descriptions found all throughout this book are enough to keep you on your toes. That and the creepiest murderer you'll ever know. I'm still not sure if this was based of something that happened in real life, but whatever the case, L.K. Hill created a fascinating yet repulsive character that you just want to know more of. And also at incorporating the "botanical" aspect from the title.

When you read this book you can tell that there was a lot of thought put into. I'm talking lots of hard-work and research in order to create this amazingly written story with uniquely articulated characters. I felt like Cody and Alex were actual people that I somehow knew. I loved Alex's wit and Cody's determination. Not to mention many of the secondary characters.

The great thing about this book, and the number one indication of how good and intriguing is, is the fact that regardless of its hefty length, it went by surprisingly fast. It was perfectly paced. There's just no other way to put it. It wasn't too dragged out, there were no information dumps not was it too rushed. And when you combine that with the fluid and lively writing, the result is none other than a brilliant book.

What's your favorite flower? The Botanist knows!

This is, by far, one of the best crime drama novels I have read. I love this book because it has a little of everything. The protagonist is a very strong willed female (we don't have enough females heroes) who is smart, courageous, and funny. The other main characters are so down to earth and believable. The serial killer is incredibly creepy and the buildup to the final climax of the story keeps you on the edge of your seat. This was very well written and it is easy to read and follow. I can't imagine anyone not liking this book. If they do they either can't read or are jealous. Please secure your copy of this great book today. You won't be disappointed.

One Hell of a Ride!

If you love a good thriller you will probably want to add this to your TBR. It is one hell of a ride!

Cody Oliver is a detective in very small town. Early in his career a woman stopped in to tell him that there was a man she believed to be impersonating a police officer who pulled her over. Years later a mass grave is discovered by a hiker in the desert, around the same place that the woman said to have encountered the mysterious stranger. Then the woman, Alexis, comes back to see if her memory of the man can help at all. Cody is hesitant to add a civilian to the case when he has cops from all over trying to help find the serial killer. He may not have a choice because Alexis and the killer may be connected somehow.

This story had me from the beginning. It starts with Alexis driving down a dark deserted highway and she gets pulled over. The person pulling her over doesn’t seem like a cop and she has done nothing to provoke being stopped. She is terrified because she is all alone and this guy is very scary. The writer is able to provoke fear and curiosity right from the beginning. The story moves at an incredibly fast pace, and yet we still get to know the characters intimately. We know their fears, we understand their strengths, and we are never allowed to forget the gravity of the case that pulls them together.

I am struggling to really come up with a negative thing to say about this book. There was much more positive things to focus on. Honestly, the story was a bit dark, and the events were brutal. But, there is much hope in this book. There are little bits of humor and honest friendships. We get to see the characters humanity in the face of terrible things. I felt a great sense of loss for the characters in this story. At the end there was still this great ending, that was totally plausible.

So yea, I really liked this story. I think readers who love thrillers books will really enjoy this book.

Mr. Keisler's book The Omega Manifesto takes the reader on a journey that begins with the foundation of thought and ends with biblical revelations on the last days. Readers will appreciate the straightforward and logical presentation of ideas, which paint a vivid picture of what has been and what is to come. The Omega Manifesto is in my humble opinion a well-written book that won't disappoint!

This book is a must have! Keisler is both intellectually solid and imaginative in his holistic view of apologetics, philosophy, and eschatology. Readers get a glimpse into Earth's tumultuous future and are forced to look at life's most important of questions: "How do I respond to the message of Jesus Christ?". I highly recommend The Omega Manifesto.

I have never seen such an atrocity in life, that those poor SICK inmates had to endure ! This was a small scale holocaust, for the Mentally Ill population.

The doctor & guards were as sick as the inmates. I was involved with the jails at those times. I did counseling for mentally ill then and still do now. But that was like the Zimbardo experiment, only worse ! Thank-you so much, have been trying to track that down for 40 years now ! Antonette Royce RNC BS CS

I am a private piano teacher and have been using Piano Pronto books with GREAT success. I had been using a different series and the students would ALL get bored in about the 3rd book. Piano Pronto hits the ground running with notes on the staff in the very first piano lesson. The songs are familiar songs, that have been around for generations. This helps the student gain success quickly. Although the left hand isn't used in the beginning, once it is added, they students pick it up very quickly. My students' happiness and retention has increased 10 fold over the past couple of years! I would Highly recommend ALL of the Piano Pronto lesson books and supplemental books that I even love playing for my own enjoyment.
