Another GREAT one!!!

Another 5 ***** book by my homie, Christina C. Jones. I really liked this story because it was a light, fun read. What I mean by light, is there wasn't much drama or dark scenes within the story. Other that Ty and Mekhi's mothers acting a damn fool, this story was fun. Lauren and Ty were a breath of fresh air. Although it took a while for Lauren to stop running from Ty, once she finally gave him a shot, she couldn't keep a smile off her face. I have to say, Ty knew what he wanted and he continue to pursue Lauren until she finally gave in to him. He was very patient with her but it paid off. Lauren had a lot of things going on in her life that many people wouldn't and couldn't handle. Being a mother, working and going to school. I'm sure being separated from her daughter was killing her. Ty had a lot going on too. Namely, dealing with his crazy ex, Jamila. All that drama she caused and for what? She more concerned about appearance and what everyone else thought than she actually loved him. Her crazy a$$ was just as bipolar as Mekhi. Neither one really wanted to be with Lauren or Ty. It was all about appearance with them. Lauren and Ty's story was cool. Like I said earlier, it was a breath of fresh air. Now, I want to go back and read Bianca and Rashad's story again. Bianca showed up and showed out in this one. She didn't hold back when she told Lauren the truth. I loved it. Another great story by one of my favorite authors. Thanks again Christina.

The Trouble is Just Right!

Have I mentioned lately that Christina C. Jones is one heck of a writer? If not, then I just said it again. The Right Kind of Trouble was yet another example of why I love to read romance novels. Christina always gives readers a different story. Her stories are never boring and she gives the readers something to enjoy. Lauren and Ty are the central characters in this story. Lauren was introduced in The Trouble With Us as Bianca's younger sister. Lauren is a 21 year old highly intelligent college senior working on completing her degree, when she started to notice the guy from the library who smelled like books and was smoking hot. Ty happened to notice Lauren as well and sets out to make her his lady. With each of the first few encounters Lauren ran like a track star to get away from Ty. Her confidence level was -500 and counting. Lauren tended to overthink his attraction to her until one day things just started to click.. I liked the flow of the story, as it had a comfortable feeling..a realness. The ancillary characters added some amusement to the story and a few villains to give the story a little bite. Thank goodness Ty was a patient man when he had three women in his life having a field day with his emotions. Read and you will enjoy this latest installment by one of my favorites...CCJ is a magnificent artist, I love the stories she paints with eloquent words.

Trouble has never been better to find!

Study...go to work..talk to Harper...study..talk to Harper..wait sleep. This was Lauren's life. A studious young woman with her head on straight. Because this was what was responsible..safe...and no trouble. But in her pursuit of excellence, she never thought trouble would wake her up..literally. Ty is just the guy to make Lauren break all the rules...even if it means a little heartbreak along the way. Because really, what's a fairy tale without some drama before the HEA?
I throughly enjoyed this book. I'm always amazed at how diverse Christina Jones can be with her story telling ability. She gets better and better with each book she puts out. The plot had a little bit of everything to keep me engaged. The flow was always natural and the pacing just right to set the tone of the story. Her innate ability to create plausible storylines and churn out unique characters always makes for a good read. Though Lauren and Ty kept me entertained, her minor characters were nothing to sneeze at. At one point I even found myself pulling for the other guy vying for Lauren's attention lol. Additionally, The conclusion was fulfilling and totally left me satisfied.
