Simply Amazing!

Where do I start! If I could give it 6 stars I would. This is not one of these loose weight fast diets. It's a great deal more! A diet that motivates you to change your whole outlook on the way you eat.

First of all, as a busy Mom, I don't have the time or even the energy sometimes to exercise or eat a proper nutritional meal. A lot of the books out there are too technical and the diets are too difficult to follow, and are geared towards people that need to loose a huge amount of weight. Not this one! I love that this book is written in simple language that is so easy to understand and follow. As a woman who need to get rid of some of those extra pounds I've put on, I have to tell you, I feel this is perfect for me.

It got me motivated and even excited about the process. That's amazing in itself. The shopping list is fairly simple and I found all the ingredients in my supermarket and the local health food store. The food journal is really detailed, and although I do adjust it a bit to fit my schedule and what I can handle, over all, it is definitely doable. Oh and did I mention the yummy recipes? I started doing them for myself, and then my family started asking me to make more, so that they can have some too! Yes, the kids are eating veggies.

Well, I've been on it for 7 days now, and what a difference! I feel great. My energy has improved dramatically and I am already seeing a huge improvement in the way my clothes fit.

Thanks Gregg! I am so grateful for this book and would recommend it to anyone looking to take charge of their lives.

Better Than Muscle Chow?

I am a personal trainer and know Gregg Avedon personally. In fact, he is one of my best friends. Now before you write off my review you should know that I NEVER promote anything I don't believe in and all of my friends know I speak the truth. I don't sugar coat anything. If Gregg's book stinks, I will be the first to tell him. So here it goes:
Gregg's other book, Muscle Chow, is a best seller. It is much longer than the 14 day diet. It requires you to spend some time absorbing the information packed pages and planning on how to best put it to use. If you are the type of person who loves that process and regularly reads entire books then Muscle Chow is the best option for you. The 14 day diet is designed for the other group of people who want the ACTION PLAN. If you are the type of person that skips to the "what do I do" section then the 14 Day Diet is for you. Honestly, most people are in this category and need a book that is straight to the point and easy to put to use. The great thing about both books is that it is coming from someone who is in his late 40s and may very well be the world's best built man. And he LIVES it. I know a lot of people with great physiques that eat twizzlers and pizza daily yet look amazing. Gregg isn't one of those people. He has mastered the art of living a lean life! I believe that the best way to learn is to model the most successful people. If you agree then follow in Gregg's foot steps.

The Plan for a healthier lifestyle. Getting lean is an added plus!

First, I don't kid myself to think I will ever obtain the physique of Gregg, but his nutrition plan does give me the blueprint to live a healthy lifestyle and to lose those extra pounds; all within 14 days. The one thing in this book that really jumped out at me, is that Gregg has a section in here for people who weigh less than 175 pounds. The correct portion size for those of us in this demographic is huge. I've gained weight on other plans I've tried in the past, because the portion size was too big. The ease of following this plan is another plus as the book is short and it's a quick read. You could actually start the plan the same day you receive it. It's simple: empty out the pantry of the bad stuff, go to the grocery store and buy the items on Gregg's shopping list (yes, he actually gives us a shopping list). Prepare the meals, eat at the designated times and exercise. After following the 14 day plan, you will be able to incorporate these simple and effective changes to eat cleaner every day and get LEAN. I wish there would have been something like this, from a trusted person, around when I was in high school and college. This is a plan that I can follow easily and feel good about what I'm doing.
