The book actually gives a short explanation and usefulness of the 'Grit';meaning you see a clearer meaning to your strength and character.I actually loved it because it is hard to see a book that actually explains the meaning of personal strength and character and their usefulness in our everyday lives.I personally will recommend this book who needs some form of personal improvement and personal strength.

This summary book is amazing and very helpful. I purchased this book from the wake of curiosity because I had interest to know more about Grit. By reading this book I have come to know about what Grit is and why it matters. Angela Duckworth is a psychologist and inside of that book she shared her own experience with Grit. By reading this book I have gotten a clear overview about the original book’s contents. This book showed me about the playing fields of Grits, taught me about the parenting for Grit and much more. I am glad to read this book and by reading this summary book I am impressed.

Well I never knew who Duckworth is until I read this book. He proves that grit is out there and that anyone in an any profession, from professional swimmer to manager of a well-known chain, even a garbage man, can have grit, Duckworth also admits that there are still questions unknown about grit; however, the signs of it are right of in our face and it is possible to achieve the trait. Through Duckworth’s experiences and those of who she interviewed, we can see that grit is not just what we do, but who we are in generally as human.

About the Author
Theresa Talea grew up the daughter of a prophet, receiving numerous prophecies until she gradually realized something "off" about the messages. The best book I have ever purchased.

I just finished reading this book. It was amazing. I have been seeking knowledge and truth for years now and I must have manifested the opportunity to see that this book has just been put on the market. There is so much information packed into this book, it is like an encyclopedia, incorporating every bit of information you could ever need to know about the world we live in. Most authors would try to drag it out into a couple different books to keep the reader buying new books, but Talea puts it all out there and leaves no leaf unturned with the details. The quantum physics is hard for me to grasp my mind around since it is so new to me, and trying to follow all the history from millennia was a challenge, but I am so grateful that she has provided this knowledge. There was so much information that I didn't know. Of course I have known that religion is a scam for quite a while now, but Talea answered so many questions to life that I had been seeking. This book has shifted my paradigm in a way that has changed my life forever.

I am a Korean background Australian. For many years I've been searching for so called make-sense-truth to my rational mind and gut feeling. Also, I've been looking for something that can show me a more clear big picture of all those things. Well, literally I've been reading more than 500 books written in Korean, Chinese and English including Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity, Physics, History and different channellings related, which added more questions and even confusions and made me more thirsty for the truth.

And, early this year 2012 I met this book. Yes, I met this book came to me. This book has all things in one package. When I finished reading I felt all pieces in the right place so I could see a clear big picture. Also, it provides many practical information.

The shift is upon us!

A phenomenal book! The author goes into great detail about who we are, where we come from, and where we are going. I have searched long and hard for people that knew of the "Guardian Alliance" and this is the first book that I have found that validates the information given by the guardian alliance. Its not only a story of a person who was a devout christian who reasons their way out, but also a story of redemption and the finding of absolute truth. I was sold when I read the preface, first chapter, and table of contents on the authors website. Its a 500 page book....I read it in 2 days hahaha. I obviously could not put it down....a must have for anyone walking the path.

Fodder for classroom discussion

This was an assigned book for Adolescent Development in grad school. Each topic has about 4 pages (in essay format) of research information that is pro or con for a specific topic. Our class was divided into two groups and assigned either the pro or con aspect of the issue. For example, underage drinking: we presented the valid (?) reasons for allowing children to drink alcohol before the age of 21 (one reason noted was that people under the age of 21 can join the military so why wouldn't they be allowed to drink) and the other team presented the reasons it was a bad idea. This book is loaded with topics; it appears to be massive research projects by some unfortunate souls. I don't see me using this book outside of the class assignments. But I may give it to my teen daughter for debate; it would be useful for her to see how the pro and con version of the same topic can be developed.

Essential book for native English speaking students of German.

This book, along with the indispensable "Stilwoerterbuch," was first recommended to me by my German teacher three decades ago. This one details how to us various German words, much like a dictionary of English synonyms does for English speakers, Thus one finds out, for example, by looking up "stop" when it is appropriate to use "halten," "aufhalten," "anhalten," "halt machen,"stehen bleiben," "aufhoeren," innerhalten" etc.. This is all information that it is difficult to obtain from the very short examples, if any, in most English-German dictionaries.
