Fodder for classroom discussion

This was an assigned book for Adolescent Development in grad school. Each topic has about 4 pages (in essay format) of research information that is pro or con for a specific topic. Our class was divided into two groups and assigned either the pro or con aspect of the issue. For example, underage drinking: we presented the valid (?) reasons for allowing children to drink alcohol before the age of 21 (one reason noted was that people under the age of 21 can join the military so why wouldn't they be allowed to drink) and the other team presented the reasons it was a bad idea. This book is loaded with topics; it appears to be massive research projects by some unfortunate souls. I don't see me using this book outside of the class assignments. But I may give it to my teen daughter for debate; it would be useful for her to see how the pro and con version of the same topic can be developed.
